PASH Wins Middle School Team Sweepstakes and 19 Individual Medals at NJSDL December Online Speech Festival

Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart won the Middle School Team Sweepstakes at the New Jersey Speech & Debate League (NJSDL) December Online Speech Festival which featured some themed events celebrating International Day of Persons with Disabilities. For example, in the Congressional Debate Authorship Challenge, students chose two pieces of legislation from the themed packet to give speeches supporting passage.

The competition featured over 150 student entries from 14 schools and programs across New Jersey as well as California, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, & Nevada. Princeton Academy had 19 students earn individual medals in the following events:

Oratorical Declamation

  • Levi M. ‘24 - Bronze Finalist Medal
  • Ryan Z. ‘25 - Bronze Finalist Medal
  • Jayden L. ‘25 - Silver Medal of Honor
  • Declan S. ‘26 - Silver Medal of Honor
  • Waliyy M. ‘25 was the next student to advance to Finals

Informative Speaking

  • Vincent L. ‘27 - Silver Medal of Honor

Poetry Interpretation

  • Levi M. ‘24 - Bronze Finalist Medal
  • Jonathan I.-O. ‘25 - Bronze Finalist Medal
  • Joseph L - Gold Medal of Excellence (Champion of Middle School division)

Prose Interpretation

  • Layne P. ‘27 - Silver Medal of Honor
