Basketball A Recap
Head Coach: Paul Clewell
Assistant Coaches: Augie Beers, JP Jeanes

The 2023-24 basketball season was met with excitement, growth and challenges as we spent the season working to develop our team and strengthen our abilities both on and off the court.  After an 0-3 start to the season in 2023, our players came back strong in 2024, winning our first three games of the new year, quickly improving to .500.  We finished the season with a record of 4-6, with two close losses in January and February.  This team was led by an awesome group of eighth-graders and a great group of seventh-grade players.  During the season, the team had some ups and downs, but they always kept the same demeanor and drive and worked hard.  This team was full of heart and hustle, and the players stayed committed all season long.  As a group they greatly improved from the first few games in November, and have every reason to hold their heads up high.  Coach Clewell, Coach Beers, and Coach Jeanes will miss this amazing group of eighth graders, and are looking forward to watching the seventh and sixth-grade players step up and fill their shoes.

Basketball B Recap
Head Coach: Jorman Sanic

Since our very first day of practice the Princeton Academy B Team arrived at the gym with enthusiasm and excitement to play basketball.  Through consistent practice, the boys became increasingly more comfortable dribbling, shooting, passing, and moving with and without the basketball.  We spent a lot of time reviewing our offense, defense, and out-of-bounds plays, as well as scrimmaging each other, in order to help simulate in-game experiences.  These young men quickly understood their job and what they needed to do to help our team be the best that we could.  Our Hawks finished with a record of 5-3 with some great wins against PDS and an exciting double overtime win against The Hun School.  I hope you enjoyed this past season of B Team basketball.  It was truly my pleasure to coach all of you and best of luck in your basketball future.  You all did a great job!

Wrestling Recap
Head Coach: Erich Trautwein

With lots of fresh faces, the Princeton Academy Wrestling Team continued to prove themselves as a formidable opponent in Mercer County by taking on some of the areas finest teams.  Once again, Princeton Academy remains the only independent school in the area with middle school wrestling, and continues to the be the only independent school in the area that competes in the Central Jersey Middle School Championships.  With seasoned 8th grade veterans, as well as some retuning wrestlers, the team was rounded out with a large group of 5th graders that not only filled multiple weight classes, but made for a lot of fun in the wrestling room.  The atmosphere is always better when we have more boys on the mat.  Wrestling has always opened many doors and provided an additional opportunity for the Princeton Academy boys to succeed.

The Princeton Academy Middle School squash team had an exhilarating season, marked by intense competitions against rivals PDS and Pingry. The team demonstrated remarkable skill and determination, securing victories in multiple matches throughout the season. These successes served as crucial preparation for the eagerly awaited finals held in Philadelphia earlier in the year. The team showcased exceptional performance, achieving commendable results that reflected their dedication and hard work. Notably, they surpassed their previous year's rank by securing a position one spot higher, underscoring the team's growth and competitive spirit.
