During the week of Thanksgiving, our community shined with the spirit of Goals III and IV: a social awareness which impels to action and the building of community as a Christian value. Eighth graders delivered the food items donated by our community for our Thanksgiving drive to HomeFront in Lawrenceville, NJ.
In addition, Mr. Geraci and Ms. Mayer upheld the annual Thanksgiving luncheon tradition for first graders and their fifth-grade Prayer Buddies - complete with turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes. A special thank you to Founding Teacher Mr. Geraci for keeping this Princeton Academy tradition alive for 19 years.
In second grade, students enjoyed a special lunch prepared by families which was representative of "the wonderful harvest the Pilgrims had due to the help of certain Wampanoags." Mrs. Walradt, stated, "There was delicious turkey along with beef jerky, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, and plain popcorn. I was thankful for all of the donations and hard work from our parents that made this possible!"
At Princeton Academy, gratitude and service are an integral part of our culture, woven into the fiber of our mission and enabling us to live the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria to the fullest.
