Lower School Wellness Weeks continue and we welcome back Trish Miele from To Be Mindful, who will guide our students and faculty through mindfulness exercises and strategies that support mental wellness. Also returning for another year, are Sue Leonard and Cindy Kaserkie from Honor Yoga in Mansfield, NJ. Cindy and Sue will lead all of our boys and faculty in yoga practice and breathing techniques that support the mind, body, and heart.
Jesse Neuman from MusicWorks rejoins our community, this time for a solo act that is centered around diversity, social justice, equity and inclusion. As part of our Wednesday Activity Period programming, Jesse will bring his musical gifts and talents to campus each month, highlighting various musicians, singers, songwriters and more, who represent diverse cross-sections of our world.
On Wednesday, Jesse Neuman came to talk about Hispanic Heritage month and the boys listened to Silvana Estrada, a musician from Mexico who sings in the old traditions of her country. They also got to dance and make some music using batas, Afro-Cuban drums and other percussion instruments.
