In early April, seventh and eighth-grade students attended the Middle School Diversity Conference hosted by The Haverford School. Princeton Academy students and middle school students from Stuart Country Day School traveled together to participate in this conference which featured Pushed Learning and Media.

Eighth-grade students who attended presented at MS Assembly this week and shared information on their facilitated conversations during the conference involving cultural appropriation and cultural appreciation. Students meaningfully discussed how "culture is not a costume."

MS Science/Math Teacher and Curriculum Innovator Greson Torchio said, "The Princeton Academy boys had an enriching and educational experience at the Haverford Middle School Diversity Conference. They were able to engage in important conversations about diversity with their peers and developed an increased awareness of social justice issues that impact our world today. I believe they left with a new understanding of different cultural perspectives and I am proud of their leadership as representatives of our community."
