Nearly 200 families gathered on Princeton Academy's campus for our MLK Day of Service on January 21, sponsored by the Princeton Academy Parents Association (PAPA). The day was organized by event Co-chairs Tia Bennett and Vandana Bhanote with the help of PAPA and an amazing crew of volunteers. Families from Stuart Country Day School were welcomed to attend as our two communities partnered to make this a day on instead of a day off. The multiple service projects completed benefited local and national organizations such as Meals on Wheels, HomeFront, SAVE, Project Linus and The Bag Project. Families assembled activity bags for children in transition, packed healthy bagged lunches and snack bags, made fleece blankets and chew toys for shelter animals. It was truly Goal III and IV in action as our communities came together with open hearts ready to serve.

Two hundred volunteers helped to accomplish:

• 100 fleece blankets crafted for the children of Project Linus
• 180 snack bags made for HomeFront
• 72 activity bags made for children 9-11 yrs at The Bag Project
• 200 chew toys were braided for the pups at SAVE
• 50 greeting cards were made for the recipients at Meals on Wheels
