The mission of our Athletic Program is to provide opportunities in which Middle School students can acquire skills, experience leadership and grow personally. All students are encouraged to participate, and to learn to balance Academics, Athletics and the Arts. Our goal is to provide a positive experience for the boys on the field of competition. Every boy, from the novice to the advanced player, has a place in our program.
The Athletic Program at Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart is an extension of the Academic Program, and all athletes are strongly encouraged to strive for excellence in both the classroom and on the athletic field. Through education and competition each child will develop as a person both within and outside of the Princeton Academy community.
Good sportsmanship, commitment to the team, and the development of skills and strategies necessary for athletic competition are essential to a successful athletic experience.
We believe that it is imperative to foster specific characteristics and qualities both on and off the athletic field. These include respect for self and others, honesty, integrity, commitment, reliability and perseverance. The values learned through athletic participation at Princeton Academy will help individuals become more productive members of society and create lifelong learners.
An annual physical is required for participation in the sports program. The date of the physical needs to be within 365 days of the date of the first practice for the season. If the date of the physical is greater than 90 days at the start of the season, a Health History Update is required for participation. The Health History Update form (see below) is completed by the parent to provide documentation of any changes since the student's last physical.
