Affording Princeton Academy
As a Sacred Heart school, Princeton Academy is committed to educating boys from all walks of life. To meet this goal, we have established a financial aid program based on family need.
If you would like your son to attend Princeton Academy but are concerned about tuition, please do not assume that we are beyond reach. Talk with us about your situation. A variety of financial aid options are available, and we work diligently with interested families to make Princeton Academy an affordable option.
New applicant families and current Princeton Academy families are asked to apply for financial aid for tuition assistance using School & Student Services (SSS) by NAIS, which provides a framework through which household need can be measured fairly and equitably. Recommendations from SSS are used by the Princeton Academy Financial Aid Committee in accordance with the school's policies to determine the award amount.
The deadline for current Princeton Academy families to submit the Parent Financial Statement (PFS) and 2015 tax information through SSS is Tuesday, January 16, 2018. The priority deadline for applicant families to submit the Parent Financial Statement (PFS) as well as 2016 and 2015 tax information through SSS is February 1, 2018.
Applications for tuition assistance may be completed online. Princeton Academy’s SSS school code is 2201.
Financial Aid awards will only be granted after 1040 forms including all schedules and statements have been submitted.
Questions about the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) can be directed to the SSS Financial Aid Helpline at (800) 344-8328 (Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. EST).

Princeton Academy firmly believes that the most important factor to consider when selecting a secondary school is the fit between the student and the school. Consequently, our placement process is built upon the premise that it is just as important to know oneself as it is to know about potential secondary schools. We are fortunate to have many exceptional secondary schools in our area and our students have earned acceptance to many of their first choice schools. We currently have four mobile laptop labs. Each mobile lab contains 16 laptops using a customized version of the Ubuntu Linux operating system. The mobile labs enable teachers to bring the "computer lab" into their classrooms to enhance the subject matter of the current lesson. Thus, the computer is used as a tool of the curriculum rather than becoming the curriculum. Additionally, boys in Grades 6-8 participate in our 1:1 iPad Program.
On average about eight times during the school year. These days fall primarily on the holy days of obligation as observed by the Catholic church.
Our religious education classes satisfy the requirements for celebrating First Communion (typically in the second grade). The boys celebrate this tradition at their local parish. Traditionally, religious preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation takes place in local parishes. We cooperate with local parishes in communicating what religious education our boys are receiving.
