According to a recent article in The Epoch Times titled Reading Aloud to Your Kids Makes Them Kinder and Smarter, Researchers Say, "the very best tactic you can employ as a parent to ensure that your kid grows up caring and intelligent is completely free of charge. Not only that, but it will only take up 15 minutes of your day, and almost everybody is capable of doing it. The answer is indeed simple, and it’s this: read aloud to your child every single day."
Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart believes wholeheartedly in fostering a love of reading in students. Beginning on October 9, 2019, Princeton Academy will host a LittleHAWKS Storytime in the William E. Simon Chapel Library on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. for families and their children.
Join us in Princeton Academy's McPherson Athletic and Convocation Center for an active, fun-filled morning! Princeton Academy’s athletics educators and coaches will be on-site to assist LittleHAWKS (athletes) in games and activities that develop both fine and gross motor skills, while fostering the ability to work collaboratively as a group. The event will feature some of our Lower School students’ favorite activities.
This free event is intended for children not currently enrolled at Princeton Academy, as a way to welcome area families to campus.
A parent/guardian is required to stay with each child for the duration of the visit. Families are welcome to arrive at any point during the 90-minute session.
Registration is recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.
