Week in Review 10-30-09

The Nature Club spent time bird-watching on our beautiful campus this week.



Middle School PAC groups worked on building community this week with a special Halloween activity. This group used a roll of toilet paper to connect themselves together and had a lot of fun doing it!


As the 6th grade social studies classes continue their study of China, they are learning how to make paper from spinach and paperscraps. Paper was invented in China so it was important to develop an appreciation for the art in the process of making paper.



The 3rd grade began a math unit on measurement this week and are measuring their feet to determine the average class foot size.




The JK put on a play about those now famous "Five Little Jack-O-Lanterns".




The first of 2 Opus Avenue Concerts was held this week under the direction of Mr. Britt. The concerts featured 3rd and 4th grade students who study music outside of Princeton Academy.



Princeton Academy Soccer team A placed second in the Lewis Tournament last week. Team coach Mr. Stevens presented the trophy to Princeton Academy Athletic Director Mr. Clewell at a recent Middle School assembly. The trophy was placed in the school's trophy case in the lobby of the Athletic and Convocation Center. Congratulations Hawks!



The Reading Harvest concluded on Thursday with the seven winners of the pumpkins. Lower School boys read over 800 books during the Reading Harvest, which benefits the Library collection. Princeton Academy's own Pumpkin Fairy donates $1 for every book the boys read. Congratulations to the LS boys!


The 2nd grade celebrated Winnie the Pooh day with honey tasting, puppet-making, and stuffed animals.
