The second grade continued their study of the properties of air by creating Air Rockets with compressed air.
New 4th grade students had lunch with LS Head Mrs. Kazi this week. Mrs. Kazi schedules lunch with new students throughout the fall so that they can get to know her, and she can get to know them.
The Middle School observed National Writing Day this week with a presentation by Scott Sipprelle, who talked to the boys about his experiences as an author. He encouraged the boys to write everyday and to keep notes about events and experiences. In writing his book, he referred to his own notebooks which he had kept since starting his first job.
The LS Environmental Club presented skits on their worm composting project and about their Turn OFF the Lights project in which they are giving "eco tickets" to teachers, staff and students at LS Assembly recently.
