The books listed below have been selected by our faculty because they appeal to a broad range of interests and reading levels. They are suggestions, not requirements. There are many, many wonderful books to enjoy this summer. Please don't let these recommendations limit your son's enthusiasm for reading. The most important requirement is that he reads everyday.

JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN SUPPLY LIST

A large backpack for daily use.

Lunch box for transporting juice for morning snack and lunch (PASH supplies the snack food unless your child has special needs due to allergies)

Towel to be used with school supplied rest mat

Special stuffed animal/buddy to rest with

An extra set of clothing, including pants, shirt, socks and underwear. Please label each item. These clothes should be brought in a labeled bag or plastic container. They will remain at school and should be changed seasonally, and replaced after use.

The boys will need to have a pair of non-marking sneakers in order to participate in Physical Education class. These shoes will be used when students have Physical Education class indoors. Students should have a different pair of shoes for outdoor use. Students who do not have the appropriate shoes will not be allowed to participate in gym class. Because of safety precautions students cannot participate in gym class with socks on.

KINDERGARTEN SUPPLY LIST

All students entering Kindergarten are asked to bring in the following items on the first day of school.

**Please label each one of these items with your son's name. Laundry markers, Sharpies, and iron on tape are all available through fabric and online stores and mail order catalogues.

Book Bag (Please make sure the bag is large to hold a lunch box, library books, and two 9” X 12” folders).
Lunch Box
Towel for rest time (beach towel size)
Small stuffed animal (Beanie Baby size) for rest time
Sneakers that your son can put on independently. These will stay at school and be used twice a day for outdoor play.
Plastic shoe box containing a complete set of clothing:
Pants
Shirt
Socks
Underwear

Homework supplies (for home use) — These items will be needed throughout the year to complete homework.

Glue stick(s)
Kids scissors
Colored pencils or crayons

Please label your son's school supplies. It has been our experience that a gallon zip bag with a labeled change of clothes for your child, including underwear and socks, should be kept in school for those special need days.
