The JK put on an original play this week. "The Water Cycle" depicted the relationship between rain and snow, and clouds and sun. There was standing room only for the performance, and all enjoyed themselves.

The second grade spent time reading their penguin books to their first grade friends this week. The books included a title page, chapters, glossary, and index. They also made their own supply of oobleck, made from cornstarch and water, which changes shape depending on how it is handled. They discovered oobleck after reading Dr. Seuss's Bartholomew and the Oobleck.

Mrs. Kazi's kindergarten class read 100 books to save 100 acres of rain forest. They are proud of the certificate they earned, and loved the books they read to earn it! They also received Flat Dylan, a cousin of Flat Stanley and sent to NJ by Mrs. Mayer's nephew in Minnesota.
