On Tuesday, Princeton Academy welcomed two instructors from Balance Educational Services, an organization that assists teachers, students, and parents to create and maintain healthy social environments in schools. They presented workshops to both divisions of students, faculty members, and to our parents in the evening. Using theatrical experiences, engaging stories, and humor, the presenters provided our community with examples of positive leadership, and practical strategies for appropriate peer interaction.

Our 6th graders began an archaeological dig on the site of the fictitious St. Lawrence Hotel. The boys excavated down through several layers, each time uncovering older artifacts from earlier inhabitants. Careful excavation yielded findings which were then cleaned, identified, and cataloged. Core samples from the site were also taken and analyzed.

Mrs. Walradt's second graders learned about how a drum set works, and heard a demonstration of how to play by new music faculty member Mr. Britt. Then they got to try it themselves! Meanwhile, the fourth graders took advantage of another beautiful warm week to have a game of touch football outside for PE.

This week PAPA unveiled the Hawk's Nest Store, Princeton Academy's school spirit store. Many thanks to Sandra Lillis and her volunteers for organizing an attractive space to display Princeton Academy's handsome school spirit items. And remember - only 80 shopping days left before Christmas!
