Week in Review 4-13-07

April 13, 2007

Spring was here last week and the magnolias were beautiful, but cold weather quickly turned them brown.

The second grades welcomed back Ben, a PA student who is currently living in Hong Kong with his family. Ben returned to PA for a visit and spoke with the classes about life in Hong Kong.

During poetry month, the JK students are memorizing poems and writing some of their own. Recently, they recited "Humpty Dumpty." They decorated a hard-boiled egg and a raw egg and tried to guess which egg was which, based on observing its motion when spun. As the boys recited the poem, Mrs. Ferrante pushed each egg off the wall; the hard boiled egg cracked a little and the raw egg went "splat" on the floor!

The 4th grade completed their Easter Baskets of Hope project just before Easter break and gave the baskets to Father Mick for distribution to families in his church.

Over spring break, Mr. Kuser took the 6th grade on a walking tour of Princeton University to study architecture and to visit libraries and museums on the university's campus.

Today is Dads and Special Friends Day in kindergarten. Visitors joined the boys for circle time, and then worked with the boys at various stations around the class. The boys and the visitors had a great time together!
