Week in Review 3-2-2007
March 01, 2007
1st and 2nd grades continued their unit studies of Egypt and penguins, respectively.
Monday was the 100th day of school! Kindergarten celebrations included counting out 100 cheerios in groups of 10 and taking 100 footsteps in the assembly area. Junior kindergarten made a special pair of glasses for Mr. Kalkus to commemorate the special day.
The 3rd grade is busy preparing for its presentation of Charlotte's Web next week. In addition to reading the story, they have been rehearsing, making costumes, and designing the sets and props for the show. Look next week for pictures of this wonderful play!
After school activities, including chess and fencing, are fun for lower and middle school students.
Today is Dr. Seuss's birthday and kindergarten and junior kindergarten classes celebrated with lots of reading time. The boys wore their pajamas to school and read their favorite books throughout the day. Guest readers read aloud to the boys. Afterwards, the kindergarten enjoyed dinosaur pancakes!
