Paint Out

November 02, 2003

On Saturday, November 1, 42 artists, both amateurs and professionals, gathered on the Academy's grounds to participate in the School's first-ever "Paint Out." The artists applied their talents to the school's renowned architecture and grounds and the public was welcome to watch. The event was the brainchild of Academy parent Sandra Tasca. Author, critic, and painter Ann Waldron was quoted in the Trenton Times as saying, "I think it's a wonderful thing for the school to open their grounds to artists and also give us lunch, too. It's a wonderful civic endeavor." Also present at the event was Thomas Malloy, artist laureate of Trenton.
