Middle School Physical Education
Program Overview
The physical education program in the Middle School at Princeton Academy is aimed at nurturing each boy’s physical and emotional development. In addition to learning motor skills, dexterity, agility, and team and individual sports, the program provides a structured competitive atmosphere in which students can learn life-long skills such as cooperation, respect for self and others, and working as a team towards a common goal. The role of the individual athlete on a team sport is emphasized.
Goals and Objectives
The students are encouraged to improve their physical endurance, strength, and flexibility, as they learn to play or improve skills in a variety of sports. The students will learn the importance of team play. In addition, the program provides a framework for a lifetime appreciation of and responsibility for one’s physical and emotional health.
