The Board of Trustees

The creation of Princeton Academy required bold leadership and the courage to act on faith in the face of difficult challenges. The founding families of Princeton Academy clearly identified an urgent unmet need for a faith-based school for boys. The vision and faith that guided those pioneers is further reflected in the leaders of Princeton Academy.

The founding leadership of the school, the Board of Trustees, demonstrated their leadership and commitment in the goals that they set for themselves at the time of the school's creation. The workload was enormous for such a small group; however, their belief in their vision and desire to see that their sons would enjoy the same faith-based Sacred Heart education that their daughters were receiving at Stuart Country Day School, kept them focused.

Since the founding, the Board of Trustees has grown and includes a wide variety of people with diverse professional backgrounds and experiences. All share the passion for what we are building and play hands-on roles in guiding the school and its development. The work of the board is largely carried out in seven working committees, planning and overseeing areas such as finance, education, enrollment management and marketing, building and grounds, trustee recruitment and training, and fund-raising.

One of the hallmarks of the Board's stewardship of the school has been in its financial management. Taking its fiscal responsibility with great seriousness, the school has operated within its annual budget for each year of its existence. Recognizing the need to create a school with a diverse student body, the Board and Headmaster have also set a goal of allocating ten percent of tuition revenue toward financial assistance for those who might not otherwise be able to attend Princeton Academy.
