Sacred Heart Education
The traditions and values on which Princeton Academy and Stuart Country Day School are based were established more than 200 years ago by the Society of the Sacred Heart.
Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart owes a deep debt of gratitude to the community of Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart for its help, direction and inspiration. Without Stuart, Princeton Academy would not exist today. Many of the founders of Princeton Academy had their roots in Stuart as parents and grandparents, and alumnae. The founders identified an urgent unmet need for a values-based school for boys. It was this need that drove them to establish Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart.
The Society of the Sacred Heart, a 200-year-old religious community founded by Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat, developed an educational tradition that was started in France and spread internationally. Over the years, the Society matured and expanded into seeing education as the way to renew society.
Today's Society of the Sacred Heart is international in scope and operates in more than 40 countries around the world. In the United States alone, the Network of Sacred Heart Schools includes more than 20 schools with superb academic reputations.
