Princeton Academy Parents Association (PAPA)

All parents and guardians of Princeton Academy students are members of the Princeton Academy Parents Association (PAPA). PAPA serves to build community at Princeton Academy by offering opportunities for parents and students to socialize and participate in school-wide events. We support the school through various fundraising efforts and provide enrichment programs for the boys and special gifts to the school that enhance the overall experience at Princeton Academy.

We encourage all parents to participate in the monthly PAPA meetings, community events and coordinated fundraising efforts.

PAPA Events and Activities

Community Caring

Community Caring provides a liaison between parents and teachers for compassionate needs of families.

Dad's Club

Dad’s Club offers opportunities for fathers/special persons and sons to interact on and off campus with activities geared towards quality bonding time. The club also sponsors social events just for dads to help foster community amongst the fathers and a connection with the school’s faculty. Events include LS father/son events, the MS Father/Son Campout and faculty/parent sporting events and socials. The events are organized and facilitated by dads with the goal of bringing boys and their fathers together as much as possible.

Common Ground

The Princeton Common Ground lecture series features distinguished speakers addressing topics related to child development, parenting and education. PAPA, along with the parent associations of other area private schools, provides this lecture series to the community. These lectures are free and open to the public.

Hawk's Nest

PAPA staffs and manages the School Store and targeted merchandise sales of Princeton Academy logo apparel and giftware.

Used Uniform Closet

PAPA accepts used uniforms in good condition and provides a “closet” on the second floor of Kalkus House for parents to acquire uniform items at no cost (cash donations accepted).

Spirit Club

PAPA organizes fan support for all PASH athletic teams and works directly with the Athletic Director on special events, including the fall Bonfire.

Social Events

Community events like the Lower School Father/Son Hike, Middle School Campout, Cookies with Santa, the Tree Lighting, Spirit Club Bonfire, Field Day and Faculty Appreciation Day are all supported and organized by PAPA. PAPA arranges holiday classroom celebrations, like MS special lunches and holiday parties including the LS Trunk or Treat as well as the annual Service Day. At our annual Fat Tuesday Spaghetti Dinner, we collect donations which are used to support a student’s tuition at our Sacred Heart sister school in Uganda.

Fundraising Events

PAPA holds several fundraising events during the school year, which directly benefit the boys and faculty. PAPA sponsors the annual Visiting Author/Illustrator, LS and MS Cultural Events, Field Day and visiting speakers. PAPA also purchases many gifts for the school that enhance the learning environment for the boys. Over the years, these have included laptops, iPads, playground equipment, picnic tables, video and sound system for the MACC, books for the library and classrooms and benches. This past year, PAPA provided funds for the school’s new Low Ropes Course. The major PAPA fundraising events include the fall Quizzo trivia evening, the spring and fall Rummage Sale, and the spring Handbag Bingo.

In addition to our larger fundraising events, smaller and still significant fundraising programs include collecting Box Tops and McCaffreys receipts, using your Target card, Amazon Smile, and the holiday gift card program.

Pizza Fridays

PAPA organizes Pizza Friday for both the LS and MS, and coordinates volunteers to serve pizza to the boys.
