"So we must remember that it is better to begin a great work than to finish a small one…Our education is not meant to turn children out small and finished but seriously begun on a wide basis." —Janet Erskine Stuart
When your son graduates from Princeton Academy, he’ll be ready to go anywhere. We will work closely with him and with you to make sure he finds the right fit.
Our placement program begins informally in the 5th and 6th grades, where students begin to gain self-knowledge in classes and workshops. As they progress, the program becomes more focused. By 7th grade, boys are encouraged to browse prospective schools and narrow the list by considering what’s most important to them. In 8th grade, they visit their choices, and we set time aside for them to discuss and share experiences.
In applying, we offer students various forms of help, including mock interviews and help with essays. By spring of 8th grade, they know where they have been accepted, and finalize their choices.
Recent graduates have moved on to such schools as The Lawrenceville School, The Hun School, The Peddie School, The Pennington School, Princeton Day School, George School, Notre Dame, The Hill School, and Rutgers Preparatory School. In fact, more than 25 schools have extended offers of admission to our graduates over the past several years. View the full list of these high schools.
