Capital Fundraising
Princeton Academy depends on capital fundraising initiatives to provide funds for projects such as renovations and the construction of new facilities. Capital fundraising is also conducted to add to the endowment fund. Princeton Academy's most recent school-wide capital campaign, which concluded in spring 2002, raised $6 million in gifts and pledges to eliminate the mortgage used to purchase the former Our Lady of Princeton property. Solicitation of major capital gifts is ongoing and directed toward a specific project or need of the School.
What is the difference between a capital gift and an Annual Fund gift?
Capital contributions are used to support extraordinary projects. For example a capital contribution may be used to support construction of a new building or be added to the school's endowment. Capital contributions can be pledged over three years. Annual Fund gifts are payable by the end of the school's fiscal year (June 30) and are used to support the school's annual operating expenses.
