The Athletic Program
Mission
The mission of our athletic program is to provide opportunities in which students can acquire skills, experience leadership, and grow personally. All students are encouraged to participate, and to learn to balance academics, athletics, and the arts. Our goal is to provide a positive experience for the boys on the field of competition. Every boy, from the novice to the advanced player, has a place in our program.
Philosophy
The athletic program at Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart is an extension of the academic program, and all athletes are strongly encouraged to strive for excellence in both the classroom and on the athletic field. Through education and competition each child will develop as a person both within and outside of the Princeton Academy community.
Good sportsmanship, commitment to the team, and the development of skills and strategies necessary for athletic competition are essential to a successful athletic program.
We believe that it is imperative to foster specific characteristics and qualities both on and off the athletic field. These include respect for self and others, honesty, integrity, commitment, reliability, and perseverance. The values learned through athletic participation at Princeton Academy will help individuals become more productive members of society and create life long learners.
